Victory in Europe

We will be holding a commemorative event at The Brookfield on Saturday 10th May to mark 80 years since the end of the Second World War.
Join us from 2:00 pm onwards.
VE Day 80 is not only a tribute to those who fought for the freedom we all enjoy today, but also a powerful reminder of the resilience and unity that have defined our country ever since.
We encourage everyone to take part and embrace the spirit of togetherness on this momentous anniversary. It is an opportunity to provide a day filled not only with joy, but also with deep reflection and celebration, as we unite as part of the Commonwealth’s vast community of 2.4 billion people. By participating in this event, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to world peace and harmony, taking a stand against division and conflict. It is vital for us to ensure that future generations not only understand but also cherish the immense value of peace, appreciating the efforts that have been made to build a harmonious world for all. Let us come together in solidarity, share stories, and create lasting memories, as we celebrate our rich diversity and shared humanity in the spirit of friendship and cooperation.
